HOW IT ALL BEGAN
My path to osteopathy began before I was born. My grandfather, William Grunbaum, was an osteopath graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1948. William had two children, Jane (aunt) and Paul (father). Jane qualified as an osteopath and has been practising for over 50 years. Paul qualified as a solicitor before qualifying as an osteopath. Jane's first born daughter Caroline (cousin) qualified as an osteopath and has been practicing for over 20 years. I followed on becoming the 5th member of the family to qualify as an osteopath and joining Caroline as a 3rd generation osteopath.

Before studying osteopathy, I studied Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Birmingham. Whilst playing for Birmingham University basketball team I was injured, tearing my medial meniscus and partially tearing my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). This ignited my passion for post injury treatment, and injury prevention training.

I completed a personal training course at REPs level 3 with Future Fit Training whilst studying osteopathy. This gave me the knowledge to give patients effective exercises to help them maintain and self manage their pain.

During my time qualified as an osteopath I have worked with Barnet football club and have treated members of the Great Britain Talent squad for synchronised swimming.

CHARITY
I like to give a lot to charities, including volunteering for Maccabi Great Britain as a basketball coach since 2008. Since then I have been the coach for:
  •     Girls under 19 basketball squad to 18th World Maccabiah Games in Israel (Summer 2009)
  •     Boys under 17 basketball in European Maccabiah Games in Vienna, Austria, (Summer 2011)
  •     Boys under 19 basketball squad to 7th place at the 19th World Maccabiah Games, (Summer 2013)
In 2011 I completed the London marathon 2011 raising over £2500 for charity.
You can regularly see me offering osteopathic or personal training sessions to be raffled off at charity events.

PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Since my mid teens I have been involved in Great Britain Maccabi. I represented them in international basketball competitions held in USA and Israel, captaining the squad during the Israel tournament in 2001. Unfortunately during this tournament I sprained my ankle during the second game.
I also enjoyed played basketball for my school as vice captain and whilst at university.

I ran the London marathon in 2011 finishing in 4 hours 12 minutes 58 seconds.

In 2014 I ran the Tel Aviv marathon and beat my previous time to finish in 3 hours 43 minutes and 54 seconds.

Recently I have been teaching my own accredited Personal Training Course in conjunction with JLGB and JW3.

I have also started coaching the London School of Economics Basketball 1st Team.
